DESIGN

Every piece of jewelry starts with a spark of inspiration. Ideas are gathered from various sources, influenced by the beauty of the world around us. Gradually, the design process is honed until the final concept is ready to be brought to life.

RAW MATERIALS

The Favour artisan line is meticulously handcrafted from the highest quality raw materials. Each piece is shaped by hand using raw wire and sheet, ensuring durability that can last for generations. Our designs prioritize comfort and thoughtful aesthetics, making them the best choice for daily style.

HAND TOOLS

Hand-held tools are essential in the art of jewelry fabrication. In contrast to machine-made pieces, hand fabrication relies on a diverse array of hand tools to mold and structure the metal. The artisan must master both the use of the hand tool and the personality of the metal beneath it, to create beautiful hand-fabricated jewelry pieces.

SOLDERING

Soldering is the foundation of hand fabricated sterling silver jewelry. Each connection is meticulously made using a torch and solder. The torch must reach temperatures of 1207° to 1450° F to meet the flow requirements of the solder. At these extreme temperatures, the solder reaches a liquid state and flows between the joints forming a permanent bond. A skilled "step down" technique is employed with each connection, working in reverse within the design to achieve a well made framework. The artisans objective is to craft a near invisible solder joint ensuring that the overall beauty of the piece remains the focal point.

GEMSTONE SETTING

Each hand-selected gemstone undergoes a precise stone-setting process. For a smooth cabochon gemstone, this entails the handcrafting of the bezel prior to securing the gemstone within its setting. Once positioned, the surrounding bezel is skillfully pressed into place and seamlessly smoothed, resulting in a permanent and secure setting that beautifully showcases the gemstone.
